Refund Policy
At Houselyt, we take great pride in our craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Because our services involve custom materials and specialized labor, we have established the following policy regarding refunds, cancellations, and project adjustments.
1. Right of Rescission (The 3-Day Cooling-Off Period)
In accordance with federal and local consumer protection laws, clients have the right to cancel their service agreement without penalty within three (3) business days of signing the contract.
To cancel, a written notice must be sent to support@houselyt.biz or delivered to our office before midnight of the third business day.
If you cancel within this window, your full deposit will be refunded within 7–10 business days.
2. Material Deposits
After the 3-day rescission period, Houselyt begins the process of ordering materials (shingles, metal panels, windows, or gutters) specifically for your property.
Custom Orders: Deposits used for custom-manufactured items (such as custom-sized Renewal by Andersen windows or specific Budget Blinds treatments) are non-refundable once the order has been placed with the manufacturer.
Stock Materials: For standard stock materials (e.g., standard shingles), if a project is cancelled after the 3-day window but before installation begins, a 15% restocking fee plus any delivery charges will be deducted from the refund.
3. Labor and Service Fees
Completed Work: Once labor has been performed (e.g., a roof repair is finished or a skylight is installed), the labor portion of the invoice is non-refundable.
In-Progress Work: If a project is terminated by the client while work is underway, the client is responsible for paying for all labor performed up to that point and all materials already installed or delivered to the site.
4. Subscription Services Houselyt Care
For our “Houselyt Care” maintenance subscriptions:
Monthly Plans: You may cancel your subscription at any time. However, we do not offer pro-rated refunds for the remaining days in your current billing cycle. Access to your benefits will continue until the end of the period.
Annual Plans: Annual subscriptions may be cancelled within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, provided no services (inspections or cleanings) have been performed. If a service has been performed, the standard cost of that service will be deducted from the refund.
5. Workmanship & Satisfaction Guarantee
While we do not offer refunds for “change of heart” after a roof is installed, we stand by our work through our Warranty Program.
If you are unsatisfied with the quality of the installation, Houselyt will return to the property to correct the issue at no additional cost, provided it falls under our Workmanship Warranty.
Our goal is 100% satisfaction. If a dispute arises regarding the quality of work, we will engage a third-party inspector to verify the installation meets industry standards.
6. Refund Process
Method: All refunds will be issued to the original payment method used (Credit Card, Check, or ACH).
Timeline: Please allow 7–14 business days for the refund to reflect in your account once it has been approved by our billing department.
7. Non-Refundable Items
The following are strictly non-refundable:
Emergency Tarping fees (once the service is rendered).
Inspection fees for real estate transactions.
Custom-fabricated metal roofing components.
Permit fees paid to local municipalities on your behalf.
